Teknikf\u00f6retagen is currently the only employer organization certified by the Swedish Migration Board to apply for a work permit on behalf of member companies. The certification means that the permit application process is much faster and smoother than an application that an employer and a third-country national make to the Swedish Migration Board themselves.<\/p>\n
Member companies in Teknikf\u00f6retagen are covered by collective agreements, which means that, if the collective agreement is correctly applied, they meet the most important requirements for a work permit regarding, among other things, the minimum wage level and collectively agreed insurance.<\/p>\n
Help with the application and advice on employment conditions is free of charge for members of Teknikf\u00f6retagen. Some companies may themselves be certified and these gain nothing by going through Teknikf\u00f6retagen but can continue to apply for a permit by virtue of their own certification.<\/p>\n
Work permit matters are limited to assistance with work permit applications and extensions and advice on salary and conditions issues. The technology companies do not provide advice on tax matters nor do they represent individuals in court, e.g. in appeal cases.<\/p>\n
