This proposal will affect many of our member companies and we have therefore provided our views. In summary:<\/p>\n<p>\u201d&quot;The Swedish Electronics industry association is positive about the revised EMC Directive 2014\/30\/EU, which harmonises definitions and principles and is an adaptation to the New Legislative Framework (NLF). It is of utmost importance that equipment placed on the market meets the protection requirements.&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal for a new regulation on electromagnetic compatibility is mainly good and implements the directive as intended, with one major exception: The proposed penalty fee is unreasonably high and the wording is unclear and leaves room for arbitrariness. The proposal also hits small businesses harder than large companies.
