WBG Power Center, RISE, KTH and Svensk Elektronik are pleased to announce the international workshop in applications of wide bandgap (WBG) power electronics, SCAPE 2026. The event will cover the latest results and innovations in power electronics applications of wide bandgap materials, such as silicon carbide and gallium nitride.

Previously known as ISiCPEAW and IWBGPEAW, SCAPE is a three-day event, consisting of two workshop days, June 16th-17th, preceded by one tutorial day, June 15th.

Workshop


The workshop takes place Tuesday – Wednesday June 16th – 17th. It has the overall aim to promote the use of the latest research and development results, by bringing together the foremost experts from both academia and industry. The focus lies on the use of wide bandgap materials (WBG) technology in power electronics applications, components, modules, packaging, reliability and benchmarking versus silicon power electronics.

The program is defined by WBG experts and reflects the status of WBG from an industry point of view. Specialists from all over the world will present their views on status, ongoing development and the opportunities of applications in the power electronics area. They will also present the latest products and solutions and will be available for detailed technical discussions.

The workshop will be held at Skogshem & Wijk Konferens Event, Lidingö.

Tutorial


Preceding the two-day workshop, a tutorial will take place on Monday June 15th. The detailed program will be announced shortly.

The day will conclude with a guided visit to The Electrum Laboratory. Host: Linda Johansson, Director of Quantum and Semiconductor Technology, RISE.

The tutorial will be given on the 15th of June (09:00-16:00) at RISE, Electrum, Kista.

Venues and Transport


Venues and hotel

With the exception of the tutorial, this event will take place at Skogshem & Wijk, Lidingö. The hotel has several rooms at discount prices pre-reserved for workshop attendees, Monday the 15th through Wednesday the 17th of June. If you need a hotel room, please send an email with arrival/departure dates and choice of single or double room to Malin Berglund, malin.berglund@svenskelektronik.com

Latest booking date is 6th of May. After that date rooms have to be booked directly with the hotel.

Please note: The number of reserved rooms at the venue is reduced after the 6th of May. It can be very hard to find rooms in Stockholm during this time, so we strongly recommend that you reserve a room in good time.

Transport

Arriving at Arlanda Airport take a taxi. We recommend Taxi Stockholm (Tel. +46 8 15 00 00) for best FIXED price. Takes 45 to 60 minutes to the hotel. Cost approximately 900 SEK for up to 4 passengers and 1200 SEK for up to 7 passengers.

Or take the Arlanda express train from Arlanda to Stockholm. Price one way is 340 SEK for a train ticket (640 SEK round trip). You can buy tickets online or from the ticket vending machines at Arlanda before you enter the train.

The total travel time from Stockholm Central Station to the hotel is about 25 minutes by taxi. Cost approximately 400 SEK for up to 4 passengers.

We also plan to arrange own transfer busses to the venue; more information will be provided after registration.
