Roundtable: Building Sweden's National Semiconductor Strategy
Svensk Elektronik and Semicon Sweden are working intensively to develop a national semiconductor strategy for Sweden. The strategy is being developed in close consultation with industry, academia and authorities, based on the needs of the industry.
To ensure broad support and build a strong agenda for the industry, we are now inviting you to a roundtable discussion in connection with Semiconductor Arena's grand opening party on September 18th.
The conversation is led by Yasemin Heper Mårtensson, Semicon Sweden and Adam Edstrom, Rise.
The goal of the strategy is to strengthen the Swedish semiconductor ecosystem and thereby:
- Increasing Sweden's competitiveness and future growth
- Ensuring economic and technological resilience
- Protect critical technology and knowledge against national security risks
We need your expertise and insights to shape a common, long-term strategy. Together we identify strengths, bridge gaps and build strategic partnerships both nationally and within the EU.

Date: Thursday, September 18
Place: Semiconductor Arena, Electrum Kistagangen 16, Kista
We will be holding two rounds of roundtable discussions:
- Session 1: 09:00 –10:30
- Session 2: 11:00 –12:30
Semiconductor arena offers a light lunch between 12.30-13.30 for those participating in the roundtable discussions.
Since the number of places is limited, pre-registration is required. If you are unable to attend, there will be more opportunities for regional roundtable discussions around the country. We will also send out a survey and conduct interviews to collect as much input as possible.
The conversation continues – Kickoff: Semiconductor Arena
The kick-off for Semiconductor Arena will begin immediately after the roundtable discussions. There, there will be an opportunity to get an introduction to Semiconductor Arena, network with representatives from industry and academia, and continue the conversation about how we strengthen Sweden's semiconductor industry.
